I'd call it Tilt R. I peg the GOP's odds at holding the chamber at maybe 60%.

Tilt D.

I think the main thing that helps is the vast majority of battlegrounds are in Biden won seats that Biden probably carries again or places where the Dem incumbent is particularly strong and was able to survive 2022, often with relative ease.

Dems floor also seems pretty high - there aren't that many seats they won in 2022 that actually seem vulnerable, though ofc things can change.

Why can we select two options?

I voted for the Democrats and Republicans because f*** those Whigs.

There are only two outcomes that I would be happy with: a thin-ish Democratic majority (10-ish seats) or a 1 vote GOP majority. The former would be good for America, the latter would be good for my comedic interests.

How would you feel with a 2-5 seat Dem majority?

Tilt D. Voted one and two. I think both House and Senate may well flip this year -- iirc, someone on here said this would be the first time the House and Senate flip to opposite parties in the same cycle.

House Democrats tend to be far more united (and willing to listen to leadership) than their Republican counterparts, so I suspect a 5-seat majority wouldn't be too bad for most issues. There wasn't really much of a problem from 2021-2023, when they had a 10-seat majority.

1 or 2 would be quite tenuous though.
