MTG's not too happy that they accidentally elected one of "Biden's handlers" as Speaker!

I look forward to Republicans and blue avatars here saying this is the Democrats fault and they should support Speaker Johnson.

I think Johnson should make offers to Dems to save himself. Something like "pass the budget as is in the Senate version and call an immediate vote on the Ukraine aid bill" as a way to save his hide.

This time.

Price goes up next time.

Unless Dems can get Johnson to actually move on items like Ukraine aid going to the floor, they should not save him.

Republicans are trying really hard to make inroads with anarchist voters ahead of November.

Unless Dems can get Johnson to actually move on items like Ukraine aid going to the floor, they should not save him.

They should do exactly what they did last time and stand firm that the Republicans either need to figure their sh*t out or make Hakeem Jeffries speaker. No need to forge some arbitrary compromise to save Johnson. You have the majority, you set the standard under which the House operates. If it's chaos you want, it's chaos you'll get. If you don't want chaos, make Jeffries speaker.

I doubt Johnson will work with Dems to save himself. He'll go down with the ship like McCarthy did. He doesn't want to govern any more than the rest of the House GOP.

Yup, that's what I said months ago and even when McCarthy was threatened of being removed.

Honestly, McCarthy may have gotten enough Dems (Golden, Cuellar, Gottheimer and at least a few more) to save his speakership had he not talked s**t on Face The Nation.

Not a privileged motion, which means Johnson can ignore it as long as its the case.

Remarkable. This party deserves to lose in a historic landslide in November, but they won’t, because voters think ice cream man is too old.

It's a shame that Republican Speakers would rather go down in flames than work with Democrats.  Then again, if they weren't so pig headed we wouldn't be in this situation in the first place.

So is this just another stunt by MTG or will there be a vote?

What's the difference and what would MTG need to make it a privileged motion?

Looks like MTG doesn't want Trump to win in November.

If the motion to vacate actually comes to a Floor Vote Speaker Johnson can only lose 2 Votes now.

Full Roll Call Vote on the 1.2 Trillion Spending Spree

This begs one Question: Why is Speaker Johnson putting Bills on the Floor that ain't supported by the Majority of his own Conference?

112 Republicans voted against it, that's A LOT!
