One of my favorite songs. I think it's actually good, but also it's a bit of a guilty pleasure. Would it be for the video or the lyrics?

It's an okay song.

Pretty bad music video though.

10/10

I have no idea what those acronym codes you're using, but I was always into the Yes, Genesis, Traffic, Steve Miller Band, Blind Faith, Hendrix Band of Gypsies, because I just roll like that.

Funny.

I was always under the impression "Abracadabra"--much like "The Joker" and "Wild Mountain  Honey", were recordings from the early to mid 1970s.

But MTV didn't come into fruition until the early 80s.

Was this an actual "official" music video?  Or some fanboi compilation?

It's from 1982.
It always sounded 80s to me

Yeah, okay.  You're right.  The synthesizers give it away.  It's clearly 1980s.

But the music video is still DOPE.

It's like art school house.

FS and FV, I really like the song. My favorite version is by Sugar Ray though.

Probably the perfect example of songs that had their moment in the 80s and then became extremely dated and now they just sound and look like s--t.

My brother is really into early 80s aor, but I'm not a fan. I bought him the Asia album last Christmas and it felt like going against everything I stand for.

As a sidenote 1982 is one of my favorite years for pop/rock, but I really don't like most American music from that era. For me that year is all about You Can't Hide Your Love Forever and Lexicon of Love.

Love ❤️ it.

I can play this song on guitar.

The 7#9 chord is very distinctive.

OMG.
I have not heard that tune in decades. LOL.
I was singing along to it, as I played your YouTube link.
Remember it, quite well.
Steve Miller Band is awesome. Thank you for sharing it.

Good song. I remember the video as a youngster. It was pretty popular.
