Good on him. It won't move any votes, though he will be remembered as one of the few Republicans to learn from how Trump f***ed them over.

Good. At least Pence has enough basic self-respect to refrain from endorsing the madman who called for his hanging.

Pretty understandable. I wouldn't endorse someone who literally sent a mob to murder me, even if that candidate was a Democrat.

I think this is a bigger deal than people think.

Sure it won't move anyone in the MAGA cult or those of us who pay attention to politics. But the headlines about our former VP refusing to endorse the President he served under for 4 years will stand out to the low-info voters who can be swayed to not vote for Trump.

Oh no. Anyway.

Lol, seriously. You're not going to influence a single Republican or Independent with this decision.

The 2020 election was an injustice done to this country. The FBI illegally put its thumb on social media websites to censor millions of people critical of Joe and Hunter Biden under a KNOWN, false pretense that the Biden laptop was Russian disinfo. You are never going to convince the Republican base that election was fair when millions of Americans were blocked from even sharing the NY Post article on Twitter, Facebook and Youtube because the intelligence community colluded with the Biden campaign. The FBI doesn't get to interfere in an election by suppressing the 1st amendment and then get upset when Americans push back.

I won't even get into the various state constitutions and election laws that were violated across the country.

Mike Pence failed this nation when he refused to send the delegates back to the states, as was his constitutional obligation. Alternative electors have been accepted in previous elections, including as recently as 1960. Sending the electors back to the states so either their legislatures or SCOTUS took corrective action was the action he should have took. Four years later and our country is more poor, more polarized, and flooded with an additional 7+ million illegal migrants.

As you are a new poster, please be aware that in general, relitigation of the 2020 election and/or discussions of its legitimacy are out of place on the 2024 Presidential Election board (i.e., this one) except when they are directly relevant to this year's election.  What you have posted so far is OK because it's within the context of Pence's non-endorsement of Trump, but if you wish to further discuss the 2020 election, please do so on the 2020 election board.

As long as Sununu-like moderates continue supporting Trump, this won´t hape much impact.

Good. Trump needs distance from pro-life, religious, social conservatism. Abortion will be one of Biden’s biggest issues.

You can't be doing this for free, surely? You need to get the Trump campaign to start paying you for your dedicated spinning, lol.

The SOTU did not help Biden as I mentioned before. I would not call that spinning.

Finally a Republican willing to stand up. I don't like him, and I wouldn't vote for him, but I can respect this.

Too bad the rest of the GOP and their voters are in a rush toward authoritarianism in their desire to follow their false god, Trump.

I agree.
This will influence a small band of Republicans (like those who voted for Haley over trump) and Independents come November. And if the election is close in some states, it could be a plus for Biden.

When has such a vicious break happened on a former ticket. When Teddy Roosevelt ran against Taft in 1912?

John Nance Garner openly opposed some of FDR's policies as his sitting VP.
