Eric Howard Carmen was an American singer-songwriter, guitarist and keyboardist. Im the early 70s, he became known as the lead vocalist of the power pop band Raspberries, whose most famous song is the #5 Billboard Hot 100 hit "Go All the Way".
Later, he has a successful solo career, with pop hits like "All by Myself" in 1975 (#2) or "Hungry Eyes" in 1987 (#4). The former was based on the Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 , resulting in a copyright contoversy resolved by an agreement. Also, it was later covered by Celine Dion in the 1996, becoming that versión a hit too.
Born in 1949 in Cleveland, the singer leaved this world in bed at the age of 74. RIP.
