Just because a lot here said I can't do it and then I have a problem. So I will.

Starting tomorrow and thus running through next Monday. I have a show next week on Tuesday so I'll be done before then. I also have a show on a Saturday but at a venue I tend not to drink at.

So here goes.

The only time I drink on St. Patrick's Day is if I'm going to a show, which I'm not this year.

I believe you can do it.  I've done it for three months (quit smoking pot in December, haven't drank since 2020) and I feel amazing.  Believe me brother you will feel like a new person the longer you do this.

Good luck! I don’t care for the “straight edge” culture since I think it effectively normalizes excessive drug use, but this is a good way to go. Wishing you good health.

That's a good point.  I don't think of my lifestyle as "straight edge" by any means.  I'm just. . . . . .sober, I guess?

I made it.

I wasn't that difficult, no serious withdrawal feelings or issues. Some mood swings but that can happen anyway.

So now I'm free to have fun at the show tonight.
