North Korea, as it's more stable.

Haiti is too anarchic for me to vote for it here. Also, Haiti gets devastating hurricanes.

Haiti, so I could escape to the US.

Not easy to escape North Korea, period!

In Haiti I won’t be killed if I complain about hungry, so definitely Haiti.

https://weatherspark.com/compare/y/141759~25360/Comparison-of-the-Average-Weather-in-Pyongyang-and-Port-au-Prince

Climate wise Pyongyang is far nicer than PaP and is the clear winner, if we're talking about an alternate timeline where both those places have the same political situation and standards of living and both of those are at least mediocre. If we're talking about the local timeline, Haiti at least gives me a chance to leave.

The one where I wouldn't be killed for refusing to worship my government (and worshipping God instead) or for speaking my mind

Probably North Korea right this second because of the gang wars. Would be pretty close under normal circumstances, both have extreme poverty. If you lived in Pyongyang and weren't on a collective farm somewhere North Korea probably wouldn't be so bad relative to a lot of places.

Most areas of North Korea beat even the upscale parts of Haiti embroiled in a civil war.

chaos vs semi-competent ultra-authoritarians

I'll take the chaos thankyouverymuch.

seriously, if any of us magically wake up in North Korea tomorrow morning, we are not going to have a good next 6 months.  The govt is going to find you and they are going to have a lot of questions that you are NOT going to have answers for and they are NOT going to like that.

You wake up in Haiti, you might find a lucky group you can make promises to if they help you escape, which is plausible.  You might get caught by a gang and they'll have a lot of questions you won't have answers to, maybe they murder you, maybe they beat the sh**t out of you and murder you, maybe they ransom you, maybe they let you go, maybe you can make some promises to them if they help you escape.

There are a lot of options that don't end up horrible with the chaos option, the best case scenario in North Korea is you convincing them you've seen the light and just want to live in Best Korea.  And good luck with that and those stories don't always turn out like they do on an episode of 30 Rock.

yep, it's Haiti for me

North Korea. I am adaptable and fully commit to anything I do so I would rise quickly through the WPK. Since I am also a caring person, once I had enough influence, I would ask the authorities to help rescue SnowLabrador from the worst country in the world.

Call me crazy, but North Korean chicks are kinda hot.

So North Korea, by default.

I remember when The Interview was released, aka, one of the greatest political films ever released since All the President's Men

Haiti. I'm confident I'd make a much better warlord/triad leader than Workers' Party official.

As someone steeped in Western philosophical traditions since birth, Haiti would be way less of an adjustment.
