The content itself was a bit over the top but nothing I wouldn't expect from a Republican doing a SOTU response, so that wasn't too much of a surprise.

The delivery and set-up however is definitely objectively an F

Didn't watch the whole thing, but the most charitable description I can give of the parts I saw is "unintentionally campy."

This probably puts an end to any presidential aspirations she might have, just as Bobby Jindal's 2009 SOTU reply did to his.

They really should just give this to someone seasoned and reliable rather than a 'rising star'. Either of the South Carolina Senators would do. For a Democratic reply to a Republican President, maybe either of the Rhode Island or Washington Senators.

The delivery was so atrocious that it completely undermined anything the GOP wanted to say. She literally sounds like a Kristen Wiig character with the breathy delivery and erratic shifts in tone.

Katie Britt has never even held elected office before.  Her only political experience was as Dick Shelby's chief of staff and as top lobbyist for Alabama's chamber of commerce.  I'm not sure why she/her staff thought this type of engagement would be well-suited for her, LOL
