And that is why the 24-hour system is superior the the mediocre 12-hour system, which was invented and intended for the mentally retarded who can only count up to twelve... 😏

Time is a scam invented by the Mayans to sell more calendars.

It's only possible to count to ten and anything higher is guesswork. If humans were meant to count past ten, we would have more than ten fingers, which is why math is mostly a scam invented by Texas Instruments to sell clocks and calculators.

Imagine saying, "Hi, I'd like h'(y) = 2e2y apples." Complete gibberish.

Did you know that if God had equipped us with twelve fingers, the dozenal system would probably have prevailed?

∫ 2e2y dy

= 2 ∫ e2y dy

    | u = 2y ⇔ du = 2 dy ⇔ dy = ½ du

= 2 * ½ * ∫ eu dy

= ∫ eu du

= eu

⇔ h(y) = e2y 💁🏼‍♂️

Actually some cultures did use a base 12 system, they would basically count each hand as a unit as well.

Sorry for asking, is it  uncommon to say 0:05 a.m.?
Cause 12:05 a.m. looks to me like 5 minutes after noon (even though I'm aware that it wouldn't make any sense in that case.)

Furthermore, what abbreviation do you use for noon and midnight?

Either system is fine in context. There is a bijection between the times so there is no ambiguity, you just have to convert as needed.

it's all about context.  If it's around midnight and someone asks what time it is, I'll say "twelve oh five" or "five minutes after midnight".  If I'm planning something for next Tuesday, I'll say "lets meet at, say, right after midnight, make it twelve oh five to give us some travel time".  If it's a vague "lets meet at 8" and it's not clear in context if it's morning or evening, well that person is an asshole for not being more clear.  That almost never comes up for most people for obvious reasons, but it does happen.

I think they mean AM or PM. In which case noon is 12 PM and midnight is 12 AM.

I say One One Five Five, or for an after 12 example, One Seven Three Four
