When will Utah vote Democratic for the first time since 1964? Given the unusual political makeup of this state(which is not a "typical" red state and has a lot of independents), when would this happen? I am thinking an Indiana 2008-type map for the Presidency. Bonus points for a Gov/Senator case.

It's possible it could happen in a few decades as Mormonism continues to decline/disagrees with Trumpism and SLC continues to grow. Younger voters are also more secular compared to older ones, so it could continue to shift left based off of demographics without the first two scenarios occurring; almost a reverse Iowa/Maine in that case.

Potentially 2028 after a second Trump term.

In the next 1964-esque landslide, which was not something fathomable just a decade ago.

Not in my lifetime.  But it won't be the kind of Deep Red Republican state it had been from the 1972 election onward.
