Let´s suppose that somehow the US Congress pass a law that let the bigger states divide their electorate in racial congressional districts. Everybody could still vote in the US House elections, but white would vote for a white district, backs would vote for a black district, hispanics vote for an hispanic district, etc.

I don´t think any of the two major parties would want to pass something like this. Even if all congressmembers lose their principles, this would hurt republicans in the short term and divide the democrat base in the long term.

In California, there would be 18 white districts based on the 2020 Census:

Republican 7
Tossup 2
Democrat 9

This thread is mostly to analize the resulting maps, I don´t support this proposal.

In Texas, there would be 15 white distircts based on the 2020 Census:

Why do you set the opacity of your maps to zero?  It makes them impossible to see haha

Half of white New Yorkers live upstate? That’s something I wouldn’t have guessed.
