Will Democrats win SC-01 back this decade? It’s Trump+8, only 2 points to the right of its 2010s incarnation, and trending leftward.

If the order to redraw it is upheld and it is redrawn to be more D-leaning than right now, then I would be more confident about it flipping back. Otherwise, if it is allowed to remain in its current configuration, then I am less confident about Democrats reclaiming it in the near future.

In a Trump midterm or 2028, probably.

I mean it flipped in 2018 in a district that mostly resembles its current incarnation.

They could but it will require a blue wave year to make it competitive.

It would require favorable trends in Charleston and a blue wave.
