I am pretty sure that the founders of this country fought a war to not have people named Lord Ashcroft weigh in on our politics.

If anyone can start a polling firm, why don't we on Atlas start one? If everyone crowdfunds like $10 we could honestly do a really high quality poll of a swing state, or a some niche congressional districts.

A. That's an interesting idea, but

B. Lord Ashcroft isn't "anyone," he's been a prominent British pollster for decades. The shocker here is that he's a prominent British pollster and I've never heard of him polling the US before.

He was notably awful in his constituency polling in the 2015 UK general election, but then again constituency polling is usually awful.

I feel like he’s done a few US polls. Maybe 2020? Idk if they were any good.
