It was one of the states Hayes had to sacrifice black rights to "win" (although Radical Reconstruction was right to make permanent).

Maybe it was dude to blacks in the north of the state not being disfranchised yet, or fraud.

Mostly the first. It was one of the most black states back then.

IIRC, Florida, Missouri, and South Carolina were all still under some degree of Federal military occupation (more so than the rest of the former CSA at that point) by 1876. The impact of the Compromise of 1877 didn't take effect until after those states had been won in the 1876 election.

As wnwnwn pointed out, Florida had one of the proportionally highest Black freedmen populations of all the Southern states back then (as did LA and SC).
