For example I avoid SW airlines because it subsidizes fat people.

Back when I was a more "moral" person I avoided Chiquita for its role in the Guatemala coup.

I don't know of any that I would otherwise shop at and choose not to for moral reasons. But MyPillow, Hobby Lobby, and Chik-Fil-A have never given me any reasons to decide to start shopping there (the latter doubly so, since I don't eat chicken lol).

I guess I might be interested in visiting the Museum of the Bible if it were not a participant in the illegal antiquities trade and choose to not go there thanks to that and their affiliation to Hobby Lobby.

I avoid REI because it's a worker-owned co-op, and the prices show it.

I refuse to fill my tank up at Exxon for how they handled the aftermath of the Exxon Valdez (even though it was years before I was born).

But that’s what makes Pepsi fizz.

I spend stupid amounts at REI. Whenever I go shopping for outdoor goods in Europe, all I'm thinking about is I wish I was at REI.

Large international brands like Amazon.

So big, they destroy the fabric of the Australian retail market and turn an army of zombies into Amazon resellers.

Book shops were my favourite store as a child.

Of those already mentioned, MyPillow, Hobby Lobby, (though admittedly these two, like Crumpets, are more because they hadn't given me any reason to shop there; there are other arts and crafts stores in the Charlotte area) and Nestle. I don't think I've ever seen my folks fuel up at an Exxon station either.

Of those not already mentioned, I remember hearing about Deepwater Horizon when I was eight and I've known to stay away from BP since. I've never even filled up a gas tank before, but I know that much. My sibling has us following BDS, though of those, the only one I actually really know or care to stay away from is HP (and I do exactly that when I'm window shopping for a new laptop since my current one is in rough shape).

There are some companies that I don't feel good about supporting, but there aren't any companies that I'm doing a complete boycott of.  I don't typically feel that boycotts are effective forms of activism, especially if it is geared towards several companies at once.

Now, I am a fan of the reverse, a "reverse boycott".  Like, if I know a business is Christian-owned, I might be more likely to go out of my way to support them.

I will avoid Pepsi because it uses stuff from aborted fetuses

While I appreciate the sentiment, that isn't exactly true.  Several products were derived from a cell line that used one aborted baby in like the 1950s.  But, continuing to produce those products doesn't require continued abortions.  We can't undo wrongs of the past, so I worry more about preventing future abortions.

Yeah, Dave's Killer Bread. The guitar playing mascot guy on the package looks like he wants to steal your girlfriend.

Gazprom and Ben & Jerry's are the two that I think of immediately, but there must be more.

McD’s, because they got rid of their cherry pies in the states (but still have them in Europe)

That’s very moral to me.

Oh yeah, Rowling empire stuff is one that I would otherwise buy but choose not to. I don't have much of a leg to stand on though, since I bought basically every Harry Potter-branded thing I could get my hands on from about 1999-2019.

Exactly. Hogwarts Legacy looks pretty fun, but I have lots of trans friends, and I just couldn't do that to them.
