Well Stalinists are among the most reactionary people in the world, so it’s unsurprising really.

The "LGBTQ+ lives have only improved under liberal democracy" isn't really true. Liberal democracy has the best track record on this of any other system that's ever been put in place anywhere (as is the case on pretty much everything) but there are some odd exceptions here and there - Cuba, for instance, did put gay people in camps at one point but the status of LGBTQ people in Cuba has improved immensely in the last few years even as their authoritarian system has remained stable. And Lenin did technically accidentally legalize homosexuality, although Stalin rolled that back.

Not trying to defend Marxist-Leninism, just being a pendant about a statement that's basically true in spirit but too sweeping to be literally true

Trans anticommunist here but also a trans antineoliberal and the latter is far more relevant to our lives right now given that neoliberalism arguably fueled a fascist backlash that trans people are increasingly the collateral damage of.

The fact that a lot of historical socialist and communist movements have given into reactionary forces and opposed LGBT rights doesn't affect that capitalism will only support trans people through the profit motive. The current socialist landscape in America and the west (including Latin America) in general is overwhelmingly pro-trans and pro-LGBTQ and that's not something that's gonna change anytime soon.
