I checked and it appears its the first time they've asked that this cycle. Which might explain why the head to head shifted, they're trying a different weighting. Which, as I've noted before, Isn't always a good idea because it's actually a common phenomena for voters to lie on the recalled voter question.
Edit: That's not to say you shouldn't ask the question. But I don't think it disproves the theory that there is or isn't a response bias.
