Remember when I dumped on R2D2 for liking them?

Well anyway I'm going mostly for two reasons:

1-Counterparts is opening.
2-I got a ticket for free.

But yeah imagine telling myself ten years ago this would happen, hahaha.

They're showing it in theaters? Figured they'd wait until 2026 for the 20th anniversary.

Also what I thought. I'm disappointed.

It's a good movie and great performances by Hathaway & Streep.

The funny thing is the band themselves had never seen the movie or read the novel when they picked the name.

More embarrassing is that even Fall Out Boy didn't know what their name meant when they adopted it despite it being far less obscure (at least at the time, but Simpsons references should be easily recognizable to any white males the guys in FOB's age), it was just something a guy yelled out at a show and they adopted it.

I haven't properly moshed since, like, maybe early last year? Definitely not in the 2nd half of the year. I probably won't ever mosh again due to my age + being out of shape. Unless The Devil Wears Prada does a Plagues 20th anniversary tour in 2027. I will throw down to The Scorpion Deathlock.

I mean this isn't that tour, but still...

Dude enjoy!!! They're a great live band. Not as good as they used to be, but they still play some of those oldies. Pretty sure their guitarist is dating the singer from Dying Wish too, another great band.

Eh, they were alright. Seemed to play mostly new stuff and thus not anything I recognized, especially since per the setlist the song titles were mostly just one word! Only the encore had their traditional song title style and unsurprisingly that was their best song.

Counterparts absolutely slayed though.

Horus gets added to my ignore list for reminding me that movie was released almost twenty years ago.  Good Lord.

In words you may understand:

If we were actually talking about the movie I'd be slightly more sympathetic

First time I saw that movie was immediately before this storm hit. I've kinda figured it's cursed since then.
