Even if 'pro-Gaza' protesters are a vocal and growing minority, most american politicians still back Israel and the AIPAC will continue doing its work to mantain the situation. Muslim population in Michigan will probably only increase, and an pro Israel Michigan state legislature will decide what to do with the situation at some point (probably 2031, maybe earlier if somehow a court decision demands it).
Discuss.

Entirely depends on whether there are too many voters to split between districts or not

I still think their political importance and the lingering relevance of the Gaza conflict by 2032 is being overestimated.

I'm also not convinced that they'll start voting Republican entirely at all levels over their grievances with Biden on the Gaza crisis.

The predominant “Arab” concentrated area of the Detroit metro going is at a very generous definition, 175k voters. Each House District is about 90-110k voters in Michigan. This is definitely cracking territory.

For starters, the legislature doesn't even draw maps in Michigan, a commission does. Even if the people on the commission support Israel I cannot imagine they would care this much about what AIPAC thinks.

My prediction is that the commission will do neither of these, for reasons similar to what Progressive Pessimist said.

The basis of the question is faulty, because not only do commissioners draw maps but there was relatively Pro-Palestine congressman Andy Levin (a scion of a prominent Jewish political family) and AIPAC poured money to defeat him when he was draw with Haley Stevens.

If an incumbent institutionalist figure like Levin couldn’t withstand AIPAC’s money cannon, idk who can.

If you mean getting a pro-Palestine figure in the state legislature… what. Michigan’s house doesn’t dictate foreign policy.

As noted a commission draws Michigan's maps, and even if the commission is made up of very pro-Israel folks I doubt they'd care. The Michigan State Legislature does not have any control over US foreign policy toward Israel.
