Now that the special election has been declared closed, I urge the President or other appropriate authority to swear Demrepdan into his office ASAP, so he may take part in the activities currently occuring in the senate.

I've been assuming that unless otherwise specified, US law would be considered to be the default operating assumptions.  By that standard, it's the President of the Senate who swears in new Senators.  At least it'll give Supersoulty something to do. Smiley
