Raphael Warnock or Josh Shapiro would be the smartest bets.

Probably Josh Shapiro right now. But whoever the Dem nominee is will be the next president. That I’m very confident of. The gop will be in the wilderness for a very long time to rid themselves of the stench of three Trump candidacies. Dems will be able to do what the GOP did to Carter in the 80’s…..use him as a perpetual punching bag until the public forgets about him.

You don't think there will be 8 year fatigue of Biden, even if the GOP nominates someone like Kemp?

If kemp could get through a primary. Maybe. The primary voters have gone so far off a cliff it’s really unsalvageable until they vote sensibly.

After all, the nominees of the two major parties are a reflection of the party’s voters as a whole. Most centrists tend to fall on the left side of the aisle right now bc Trump and the entire gop have gone insane. Nominate someone like Hogan Youngkin Kemp heck even Nikki Haley would fit the bill at this point to at least have a shot of winning a GE.

My 2024 forecast is 319-219 until something big changes the landscape, but to save the party from itself, they need to lose Texas Alaska Ohio Florida or some combo of these red states that are part of the current maga coalition to have reality hit them this is not the way forward.

It's always been Whitmer. She is the one.

If Biden wins Re-Election Kamala Harris will be the Democratic Nominee. No one is going to deny her.

The Democratic South with the heavy AA Participation who made Joe Biden the Democratic Nominee in 2020 will be in her favor.

It will be Kamala Harris vs Ron DeSantis in 2028.

I agree about Harris although I don't think DeSantis will be the nominee in 2028, he may run but I think Republican voters have soured on him now. It'll be someone closer to Trump like JD Vance or Gaetz.

If Biden loses he’ll most likely run again in 2028 and be the overwhelming favorite for the democratic primary.

Imagine having such a strong bench and going with one with the worst possible options. What a wasted opportunity.

Pete (if he still has any intriguing ideas for how to reform the Supreme Court).
