Out of these options, Shapiro.

Okay, I get that you're a troll, but Biden probably won't even be alive in 2028 if he loses this year; how do you expect him to become the nominee?

Right now I like Gretchen Whitmer for President, and Raphael Warnock or Mark Kelly for Vice President.  So Whitmer-Warnock or Whitmer-Kelly.  That's for right now, it may change next year

Voted for Fetterman, but Whitmer, Buttigieg, and Gallego would be my other choices.

Democrats would be so much better off nominating just about anyone but these three. I'm sorry, but they have an incredibly strong bench for 2028 and they shouldn't waste their opportunity by nominating one of these three clowns.

Well for myself, I am a moderate Democrat, and I have become impressed by media performances from Pete and Newsom especially. I want a bit of a more modern candidate in the next election and someone who will also govern in a moderate manner.

I'm torn between Whitmer and Shapiro. Leaning Whitmer at the moment. A two-person primary contest between those two would be epic, on par with 2008.

I think Harris' skills have sharpened lately, so I'll keep her in mind, as well.

I'd add Wes Moore and Maura Healey to the list of options.

Whitmer is definitely my favorite for 2028. I think Big Gretch would be a strong candidate and effective president.

My preferred choices as a her running mate would be Wes Moore, Raphael Warnock, Jon Ossoff, Andy Beshear or Josh Shapiro.

Biden will win Re-Election and ya'll will be stuck with Kamala Harris as Nominee in 2028.

Harris has a massive structural Advantage for the Nomination in 2028 because of African Americans.

If the DNC sticks to the current Schedule with South Carolina going first and then Nevada the 2028 Nomination will be over before it really begins.

If Biden loses Whitmer/VP Warnock.

The potential 2028 list looks a lot stronger than what dems had in 2020.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. I'd be comfortable with most of the people on this list being the nominee, which wasn't the case back in 2020.

Fetterman. While Biden is unpopular now, I suspect we will look back on him in a decade from now as someone who had a substantial impact on the direction of the Democratic Party. His blend of old school liberalism, focus on bread and butter issues, and Pennsylvania working class ethos has always been his strength and is well embodied by Fetterman.

Fetterman and I'd consider voting for him depending on who the GOP nominates.

Logically, if this was the line-up, Harris would dominate.

That being said, of all these, Beshear sounds the most decent.

Have a gut feeling that the Rust Belt pols are gonna land better with Democratic strategists/people who LARP as Democratic strategists versus the Newsom/Buttigieg/Harris trio, the former two of whom have already managed to strike a chord with normie liberals.

How about JB Pritzker? He's been a fairly good governor of a large state, he has huge personal wealth to draw on for a primary and general election campaign, and he stands to improve his national standing with this year's convention being held in Chicago. I have heard that the decision to host it there was at least partially his doing, so that means he's held in high regard by party officials. I think he'd be a competitive candidate.

I don't know if him being a billionaire who inherited most of his wealth would be a drag on him, especially among progressives. He's been a pretty progressive governor from what I've heard.

Personally I am leaning Whitmer, but it's so far off and who knows what the country's situation will be in four years.
