Possible although I don't think he has some appeal as his father so I suspect after Trump dies, that will be end of Trump family.  But I do think Trump has for foreseeable future altered party and I don't think you will see it return to being a Reaganite party anytime soon.

I've been thinking he would for years, I think he would well with the very online MAGA base but probably wouldn't have as wide an appeal as his dad.

He can try, but he won't win.  When all is said and done, he will find out (if he doesn't know already, which is entirely possible...) that his father has effectively destroyed his family brand for generations to come.
