Thank Christ the alarm bells went off in Europe over this and they’re racking up aid/production along with UK and France giving UA security guarantees this week

There’s literally no “Lankford” bill out to say is too friendly to illegal immigrants, your going off not only a Fox News report but a Fox News report from one of its most dishonest sources (Ingraham)

Paying workers sub par wages and often blackmailing them with deportation if they protest is evil, not sure why you have quotation marks.

I'm not sure why you think you have the moral high ground here, since you want to deport them.

Deporting them immediately is far more ethical than employing them for sh*t wages while they live as second class citizens.

Obviously the ideal solution is for them to be given citizenship so they can work for the same wages as anyone else, but I completely disagree. Deporting them is the worst thing we could do.

People don’t have a right to move to another country

None of what’s going on here is actually about immigration, this is about screwing over Ukraine to satisfy the Putin simp crowd and using immigration as an optics cover. If this was actually about immigration then Johnson wouldn’t be saying wait until after the election when even people like Mitch are pointing out they won’t get a better deal on immigration post election

It’s actually amazing how House Republicans likely are going to kill the best immigration deal they’ll ever get (even better than anything in a post-Trump win world) just to keep it as an election issue and pander to the Putin simp caucus

NEWS - @LeaderMcConnell raises doubts about whether Senate Republicans should move ahead with border security-Ukraine aid deal.

He told GOP senators “The politics of this have changed,” and noted Trump wants to run on immigration.

“We are in a quandary,” McConnell said

McConnell read out a quote from Trump criticizing the proposed border security-immigration policy changes.

Called Trump “the nominee” and said “We don’t want yo do anything to undermine him.”

This is McConnell reading the mood of his conference and the GOP nationally

Oh wow, they're not even pretending to hide it.
Dear Mitch:

If the "politics have changed" on immigration, then I don't know...maybe pass a standalone Ukraine funding package?

It's almost like this drawn out saga would have never happened if Republicans hadn't tied funding Ukraine to border security.

No chance of passing in the house

Apparently there is serious traction for tying aid to the next CR with Johnson being a dick about the border

It’s amazing that Biden effectively caved and gave republican a bunch of their harshest demands just to pass Ukraine aid to prevent a geopolitical crisis in Europe along with the destruction of the US political standing in the world and that rat face Johnson called it DOA in the house to satisfy Donald “I sleep with a Putin wifu pillow at night” Trump

Great deal, a pragmatic compromise. Hope it passes.
