Phrasing the question this way, because supporting repeal is more far-out than opposing the holiday originally.

Yes. MLK was great and admirable.

I wouldn't have voted for it, but that's not because of anything to do with Martin Luther King, Jr., I just don't like the idea of federal holidays in general.  I think places like banks, post offices, and libraries should be open every day, even if its for reduced hours.

What? Are you crazy?

If anything, there needs to be MORE federal holidays, not less.

Heck yeah! I'd make Valentines Day, St. Patrick's Day, and Halloween federal holidays

A federal holiday to me also means less public transportation since I rely on the city buses to get around, so I'm thinking of it from my own personal situation.

I feel that banks and post offices are essential services that really should never be shut down.  Those that celebrate the holidays should be given the day off with pay.  Other employees that don't celebrate them can work those days.

No US holiday should ever be named after any individual except maybe Washington.

If I said no, it'd only be for Ella Baker or James Baldwin or Rosa Parks instead.

So yes, because he's the most palatable of all these to the masses.

Easy yes, as I’m in favor of more holidays in general.  Most social sciences suggest people work more efficiently and are happier in their jobs with more time away.  Holidays also provide a connection to the past.
