Once upon a time the Democrats may have made a play for the district containing Terre Haute and Evansville. But now its one of the most GOP districts in the state. All energy is going to be in the GOP primary.

Indiana Republican House delegation undergoing a massive change.

2nd: Yakym in his 1st term following Walorski's death in 2022.
3rd: Banks running for Senate seat.
4th: Rumors out there of Baird retiring last minute to allow his son to run.
5th: Spartz announced her retirement. Even if she pulls back, she'll still probably lose the primary.
6th: Rumors Pence will be running for Lieutenant Governor.
8th: Bucshon retiring.
9th: Houchin in her 1st term.

So come January 2025, the 7 Republican members could have a combined 4 years of experience.

As far as the seat, safe R.

This would have been an interesting open seat 20-30 years ago, but now the result is a foregone conclusion.
