Not very unsurprising.

Wish they’d asked this question in the last 18 years.

I assume you got your 62% by adding the "right amount" and "too little" numbers. Likewise, one could read this as "74% of Americans do not support increasing aid to Israel, less than a quarter believe we should support Israel more."

And I don't think you'd find that reading very fair.

They asked questions about Palestinians too

33% 'too little'. So more take that position on Palestinians than they do Israel.

Yeah, this is why I don't like polls that include a status quo option.

It's about 80-90% where I live.

Everyone knows the Israeli's were subjected to a civilian massacre on October 7 now.

The details are still coming out.

Whats with the near 20 year gap in polling? Americans of 2006 aren't the same as the dumber ones of today...

While admittedly this poll isn't perfect, it's eminently believable in light of all the other evidence (notably the Dutch election) that at least in the western world Palestinian propaganda and 'activism' has been remarkably counter-productive

Almost western countries are becoming fascist strongholds and its populations more bloodthirsty for killing brown people than they ever were.

2006 was the Israel-Lebanon war, the most recent significant violence prior to October 7th.  The Obama-Trump years were mostly a time of détente for the Israel-Palestine conflict, so it was just a way less salient issue.

True, but favoring the status quo is de facto a pro-Israel position, too, based on how many people are protesting Biden to change policy in favor of Palestinians.
