Hillary Clinton put states in the Democratic column, and Donald Trump put states in the Republican column, right?

However, they each did not win all the primaries.

So, how would the map look if the Republican states were given to the winners of their particular Republican primaries, and the Democratic states were given to the winners of their particular Democratic primaries?

Here it is:

It should be saying Bernie Sanders has 52 EVs, not 51, and Kasich should have 19, not 18. There should be a way to count them as the same people.

Marco Rubio, a Republican, did also win primaries, specifically Minnesota, Puerto Rico, and Washington D.C., however, Minnesota and DC voted Democratic, and Puerto Rico is not a state. Thus, (as much as it pains my 2016 self) he is not added.

Does anyone notice how odd it is that I give Ted Cruz part of the "blue wall" from 1992 to 2012? This being Wisconsin and ME-02. (Not to mention this entire blue wall was actually won by LBJ in 1964 as well.)

If the state voted R presidentially (as WI did in 2016), it votes for the winner of that state's Republican primary.

If the state voted D presidentially, it votes for the winner of its Democratic primary.
