Telling that the state of Christianity is that it has to pull its clergy from the most downtrodden, violent, superstitious, anti-progressive parts of the world.

     I remember reading about Orthodox Christians in Rwanda who attended liturgy on Wednesday at 4AM so they could receive the Body and Blood of Christ before starting their work in the fields. Some traveled for as long as two hours in order to attend. Great suffering breeds great faith, and it's not an accident that there are so many titans of the faith in Africa who can be of great benefit to the faithful here in the United States. I see it as being similar in principle to monastics, who are visited by pilgrims seeking to gain from their wisdom.

Catholic Parishioners for the most part tend to be less nativist ( maybe if you talk about the rad trads.... ),
