Honestly, yes. There are at least 2 cis-straight Republicans who essentially did the same thing that Santos did of lying about their entire identity and are not facing bipartisan calls to resign or be expelled.
Santos wasn't expelled because of his resume padding, what ultimately got him out was being indicted for numerous crimes. I'm not sure who you're referring to but plenty of straight Republicans have been kicked out by one method or another over the years due to criminal issues or similar. In no particular order:
- Ted Stevens tried to run for re-election after being convicted of felonies. He was voted out despite representing the normally safely Republican state of Alaska.
- Larry Craig declined to run for another term after being indicted for lewd conduct and pleading guilty to a lesser charge of disorderly conduct.
- Roy Moore lost a Senate race in the normally safely Republican state of Alabama over sexual assault allegations.
- Michael Grimm won re-election while under criminal indictment. Following his conviction during the lame duck, he agreed to resign rather than serving the term he was just elected to.
- Trent Franks resigned over sexual assault allegations
- Pat Meehan resigned over sexual assault allegations
- Blake Farenthold resigned over sexual assault allegations
- Vance McAllister declined to run for another term over sexual assault allegations
- Tim Murphy resigned due to an allegation that he had an affair and urged the alleged mistress to have an abortion, despite his pro-life stance.
- Madison Cawthorn resigned over sexual assault allegations
- Tom Reed resigned over sexual assault allegations
- Van Taylor, candidate for Congress, conceded a primary runoff to his opponent over sexual assault allegations
