This is the FDR-present presidents serving the same number of years they did (or have so far, in the case of Biden and Trump, and with the exception of Kennedy and Ford) if they served in the order in which they were born.

1. What would have happened to make such a timeline?

2. How would such a timeline be different and what would the US be like today if this actually happened?

When Dubya is reelected in '04 he becomes the first president reelected since Nixon '76 and the first to actually complete a second term since Reagan.

I think Trump may be a member of the Reform Party while losing reelection in 2000. There would be plenty of conspiracies around him and how he was forced out by the Bush family and the neocons. When Trump 2000 voters enter or reenter the GOP it spells chaos for the party, which is how Clinton and Obama get two terms each. Former President Trump tried many times to run for a second term after losing in 2000 but due to legal woes wasn't able to mount a campaign until 2020, when he finally lost for good.

As for Jimmy Carter, he chooses not to run for a second term for some personal reason or something. First President to intentionally serve a single full term since Rutherford Hayes.

Perhaps he makes a one term pledge as part of a platform underlining him not being a "Washington" type figure.

Ignore all of that, the image didn't load for me lmao.

So this goes as OTL until 1960, in which LBJ is elected President. After him in the birthday list is Ronald Reagan. OP, would you have LBJ serve one or two terms? Reagan could only succeed LBJ if he beat him an election. If we let LBJ complete his second term, the list might look like this:

1933-45: FDR
1945-53: Truman
1953-61: Eisenhower
1961-69: LBJ
1969-77: Reagan
1977-82: Nixon
1982-85: Ford
1984-89: Kennedy*
1989-93: H.W. Bush
1993-97: Carter
1997-2001: Biden**
2001-2005: Trump
2005-2013: W. Bush
2013-2021: Clinton
2021-2029: Obama***

*This assumes he gets a full term, as his successor is of the opposite party.
**I just gave him one term since that is where he is now.
***His term runs past the present due to the extensions I made to other presidents terms. Not sure how to solve this.

Election match-ups are the same up until 1960.

1960: LBJ (D) defeats Nixon (R)
1964: Reagan (R) defeats LBJ (D)
1968: Reagan (R) defeats Humphrey (D)
1972: Nixon (R) defeats Jackson (D)
1976: Nixon (R) defeats Udall (D)
1980: Kennedy (D) defeats Ford (R)
1984: Bush (R) defeats Kennedy (D)
1988: Carter (D) defeats Bush (R)
1992: Biden (D) defeats Dole (R) (after having defeated Carter in a primary challenge)
1996: Trump (R) defeats Biden (D)
2000: Bush (R) defeats Gephardt (D) (after having defeated Trump in a primary challenge)
2004: Bush (R) defeats Dean (D)
2008: Clinton (D) defeats Romney (R)
2012: Clinton (D) defeats Huckabee (R)
2016: Obama (D) defeats Christie (R)
2020: Obama (D) defeats Rubio (R)

2024: Democratic frontrunners are Vice President Maria Cantwell (WA) and Senator Cory Booker (NJ). Republican frontrunners are Senators Joni Ernst (IA) and Tim Pawlenty (MN) and Governor Kevin McCarthy (CA). The Trump experiment discredited 'populism' for generations.
