A king loves beautiful clothes very much. He asks people to find nice clothes for him. One day, a man comes to the palace and says to the king,“I can make nice clothes. But only smart (聪明的)people can see them. The king says,“I am very smart. Make me a jacket!”In the afternoon, the man comes to the palace again“Here's your jacket, my king!” the man says. The king can't see the jacket but he wears (穿) it and says,“What a nice jacket!” And the other people around him say the jacket is nice, too.
The king goes out (外出) and says to his people,“Look at my nice jacket! His people know he is the king, so they have to say,“Your jacket is nice!” The king is happy and gives the man a lot of money (线).The next day, the man takes a pair of trousers to the palace. He says. “My king, here's a pair of nice trousers. They go well with the jacket. Do you want to wear them?” The king wears them and the jacket. Then he goes out again. “Look at my new trousers. Aren't they nice?” People see him and they all say the trousers are nice. Only one boy says, “Where are the jacket and trousers? You only wear a pair of shorts!
