Some places like Shelby County, TN are notoriously racially polarized. In somewhere like LA, it's somewhat different. You have some areas that are heavily white (especially for LA) that sometimes are north of 80% democrat while you have some precincts in the southern and eastern and desert areas of the county that are 25-40% white and 50-60% biden.
It might also be a cultural thing. Most of the areas of LA county that are still heavily white were probably settled by east coast and organized crime types with ties to the film industry. The 25-40% white areas that are 50-60% Biden were probably settled by more redneck type whites for lack of a better word
That is largely true, one exception is heavily African-American areas still vote more Democrat than anywhere else, but its true with heavily Asian and Hispanic they don't vote anymore Democrat than heavily white unlike in some other places. Generally whites in large metro areas have increasingly become Democrat and that is even more so the case on West Coast than elsewhere. Likewise Asians and Hispanics lean Democrat but you do have a sizeable Republican minority within both which you lack in African-American community.
Seattle metro area is also similar as South sound areas where non-Hispanic whites under 60% saw Trump do better than many northern suburbs which are more white although Biden still won those. Hawaii is probably least racially polarized and may even by only state Biden did better amongst whites than non-whites but hard to say for certain.
Also depends which minority group dealing with. Heavily African-American areas without exception vote more heavily Democrat. With heavily Asian and Hispanic, usually more Democrat but possible in very liberal areas they vote more GOP than white areas. Native Americans are mixed as in some areas like Dakotas and Montana, go Democrat in similar numbers African-Americans do whereas in Alaska and Oklahoma more like Asians & Hispanics in voting patterns.
