Kamala Harris or whoever Trump picks as Vice President - Noem, Stefanik?

Both men are octogenarians who could suffer serious health issues as they age in office. Given Trump's mental instability and open criminality, he could be forced to resign in disgrace during a potential second term if his base abandons him as they briefly did after the 2022 midterms.

Harris if Biden wins re election, whoever Trump picks as VP if Trump wins as there's good odds neither will finish the term. If for whatever reason they do, someone like Glenn Youngkin would be President after a full 8 years of Biden, and if Trump finishes the term, it'll be someone like Whitmer, Shapiro, or if the GA governorship goes D in 2026, Raphael Warnock.

For those saying Harris... no. If Hillary couldn't win, a less popular and less politically skilled version of her never could. The only chance she has is if something happens to Biden.

I have a feeling that the DNC is going to try to prop up Newsom in 2028, although I believe that Shapiro would perform better if he has presidential ambitions. Hard to tell who the GOP nominee would be; probably whoever Trump picks as his VP.

I only believe it'll be Harris if Biden wins and resigns during the 2nd term. i don't think she'd ever get elected in her own right.

The way I see it there are two options:

Biden Wins: Harris takes over after Biden resigns in 2026, the next ELECTED President would be a Republican in 2028

Trump Wins: Any Democrat, lets say Gretchen Whiter, is elected in a landslide in 2028.

there is a non-zero chance the immediate next President could be a woman. And said woman will be a nominee in 2028 no matter what
