It would be interesting to see how he would have been ensconced in the Trump election fraud conspiracies. But he probably would have won re-election. Americans in major swing states last year recognized the importance of sane Secretaries of State after election denial became a mainstay for the GOP.

He'd probably win outright without a runoff in 2022 and be the frontrunner for the gubernatorial nomination for 2026.
