My suggestion for the name of the new capital.

Jolliet and Marquette explored the Mississippi river from Iowa down to Arkansas so they went through the new capital area I imagine.

For a name I propose Jomar. It's a combination of the two names, it's short and easy. It's a made up word but with historical inspiration.
