So sad that Republicans can't even entertain another candidate besides a twice impeached, election losing, septuagenarian narcissist facing multiple indictments.

So sad that Democrats can't even entertain another candidate besides a low-approval, gaffe-prone, octogenarian narcissist facing oncoming senility .

Both of you are correct, unfortunately.

But yeah, this poll isn't a surprise. Trump is the presumptive Republican nominee at this point unless he somehow is forced to drop out or dies.

Pence at 5% according to the text on the page. Unlike Selzer, they haven’t reassigned his voters.

Completely disagree.

I never liked Trump, but I wasn't surprised that Republicans supported his reelection bid in 2020 since he was the incumbent.

Today, Biden is in the same position, and it makes sense that Democrats would want to support an incumbent president with a record of accomplishments.

Meanwhile, since he lost in 2020, Trump has said and done things that should be complete dealbreakers to reasonable people. And there's no shortage of other Republican candidates to rally around, but they are still sticking with Trump despite all the harm he has caused.

That's not the same as Democrats supporting an incumbent Democrat in the WH running for reelection. What is happening in the Republican Party is part of a sad, deluded cult mentality.
