Will Elliott County vote for Beshear again or flip GOP for Cameron?

Tilt Beshear; however it wouldn’t surprise me if Cameron won it comfortably (ie if Beshear’s map looks like the abortion one).

Although Beshear probably wins (race overall is Lean Beshear), my guess is Elliott flips to Cameron by about 5 points, give or take. Voted Lean Cameron.

Tilt Beshear as one final hurrah, just like 2012 was for Obama.

I don’t think Elliott is about to vote the same way as it does in national elections just yet, but it will likely swing far to the right from 2019. I’ll say Cameron wins it narrowly.

I would've said Beshear as a "last hurrah" type of moment and I wouldn't be shocked if he did win it, but after the results of the abortion referendum last year, I have a feeling that Cameron might narrowly carry it. Regardless I have a feeling that Beshear will be the last Democrat to win the county for the foreseeable future.

Hell, Beshear might be the last Democrat ever elected in the state.

Lean Cameron. I think it will finally happen this time, a Democrat will win a statewide election in Kentucky without Elliott County.

Maybe for a generation, sadly, but as a wise man once said, "Forever is a mighty long time."

Think it will swing hard to the R's, as all ancestrally D but more demographically aligned to modern R counties do these days. Will probably say about Cameron +10.

secretary of state website says elliott county has completed its count:

Andy BESHEAR 875 53%
Daniel CAMERON 761 47%

if this is accurate then turnout is only 33%

Per NYT, iirc, that was with only 92% of the vote in (although ofc the remaining 8% will not be enough to tip the county to Cameron).
Either way, I'm a bit surprised that Elliott stayed blue, although I'm not sure that I should be - in retrospect, it makes sense, since Beshear is doing better than in 2019 fs and will likely outperform Biden by 30+ points...in which case Beshear's leftward shift from 2020-2023 really isn't much and there isn't a significant lingering "Ancestral Democrat" effect.

Is it possible that Elliott County will become (ironically, given its history) a bellweather for Kentucky politics?
