Jeff Roe
Monday, February 1st, 2016.
Cruz Iowa Campaign HQ.
7:55 PM CST, Des Moines, Iowa.

[1]

Months and months of campaigning had led to this very moment. The Iowa Caucuses. Sure, it usually doesn't determine the eventual nominee, that honor belonged to South Carolina, but it provided a huge boost in momentum that could allow Roe’s guy, Texas Senator Ted Cruz, to win the state. He did oppose Cruz four years ago, in the Texas Senate Primary, but that was forever ago in politics and right now, a bigger threat was looming. That tanned Manhattan buffoon and fraudster Donald Trump. He couldn’t understand why the Republican voter would go for someone as unskilled and unprepared for the job as Trump, especially when they had the choices of Cruz, Rubio, and even Bush before them (ok, maybe the last name of the last one was kind of self-explanatory).

The latest poll from Emerson showed Trump having a slim lead, 1.7%, over Cruz in Iowa, though the RCP Aggregate showed Trump ahead by almost 5%. Jeff Roe wasn’t concerned at all though. Politics was a dirty, dirty game and the Trump campaign, while being rhetorically dirty, seems to be acting very cleanly when it came to stuff like electoral trickery. This is where Roe would take advantage of a lifetime. He had written up and sent an email just a few minutes ago that stated that Ben Carson, the other outsider buffoon that should never have run for President in the first place, had dropped out and endorsed Cruz for President. It wasn’t technically the truth but seeing as Carson had seemingly stopped campaigning in New Hampshire and South Carolina, one could reasonably infer that yes, Carson was leaving the race.

Despite this, as Roe watched the results come in, he couldn’t help but feel a small little sick feeling. These numbers…they didn’t look good at all. In fact, it looked as if his trick had backfired and some of Carson’s support had gone to Trump instead and it looked like Rubio, not Cruz, would be the one placing behind Trump with both he and Trump over performing polls. What the hell? How did his trick not work? He decided to take a look at his laptop as the reports soon went to 67% in and it showed even worse results for his guy. The moment he opened the computer and he logged in, he visibly paled.

He had never sent that email in the first place. There it was, waiting to be sent in his contacts. In some kind of attempt to reverse the damage that this mistake had done to the Cruz campaign, he immediately clicked send. The Iowa Caucuses were already over in a sense, but maybe this email could help discredit Carson in New Hampshire and South Carolina and he could at least keep Cruz alive for third in Iowa. Of course, this was only him hoping on his part.

I’m an expert on winning big and South Carolina and Nevada, you go to some of my rallies in both states, they love me. South Carolina, home of some really great people, and Nevada, oh Nevada, Nevada, Nevada, it’s like my third home, a home away from home away from home, if you can believe it. I’ll win both by huge margins and then I’ll win the Nomination come March 30th or something.” If he wins both South Carolina and Nevada, Trump would be the first non-incumbent Presidential Candidate to win the first four states ever since the creation of the delegate system for the Republicans and the first one since Al Gore in 2000 when factoring in the Democrats.

I do a rally here or there in every Super Tuesday state, including Texas, I win them all and lyin’ Ted leaves. That’s the truth. Then the race is between me and lil' Marco…Ben? Ben is a great guy, good mannered, I really love Ben, I do, but I think he won’t win any states. The race is now between me and Marco and that means I’ve already won because Lil’ Marco is weak, he’ll fold like a chair when it’s just me and him. It just makes sense for me to be considering running mates after Nevada. It just does, ok?

Kellyanne Conway
Tuesday, February 23rd, 2016.
Trump Nevada Campaign HQ.
8:00 PM PDT.

[2]

Tonight was basically the night that would finish the Primaries. Was the March Primary mayhem still around the corner? Yes it was, but she had heard some good words from the Carson Campaign that the man was considering dropping out and endorsing Donald Trump in the coming days. Fortunately, on the 15th, Trump had stopped campaigning in South Carolina and Nevada, as the polls were showing him by a wide margin, and he had taken her, Stevem and Ann’s advice to put all his attention on Texas. Texas, Texas, Texas. Win that state, and Cruz’s campaign is dead and then it’s just dealing with the bloated corpse of Rubio’s Campaign.

Kelly almost chuckled at the simplicity of it all as she watched the results report an easy victory for Trump and a surprise second place finish for Carson, Rubio in third, and Cruz in Fourth, as expected. The Presidential Primaries for the GOP was all but finished but the Democratic Primaries…those offered an interesting chance for her guy. Hillary Clinton was possibly the only person who could realistically lose to Trump, outside of maybe that one Massachusetts Senator, Warren or something, but Sanders, who had just won three of the first four states and while he would likely lose big in South Carolina, the division his candidacy was causing in the party could allow Trump to swoop in while also consolidate his own support for the General Election. With the primaries all but finished by this point in time, all Donald had to do was pick who he wanted to be his running mate and then shift gears for the White House in November.

She felt a tap on her shoulder and looked to see Jr. there. “Kelly, Dad wants the list. He thinks we got this in the bag.” She smiled at that. Yeah, it was pretty obvious that was the truth. Hell, even a few polls showed Texas either being a close Cruz win or Trump barely edging him out and he overperformed every state poll so far, so why not in the Lone Star state? That left only Rubio and well, the less said about that trainwreck of a campaign, the better.

“Yeah, tell him I’m on my way. I’m just taking in his victory over the rest of the party.” Jr. nodded but before leaving, he turned back and went to look at the file of potential running mates for his father.

“Who’s on the list anyway?” Kellyanne decided she could humor him. This would be the future first son, after all. At least, if Trump beat Hillary thanks to the Republican Primaries ending early while the Democrats have a slog of a Primary fight.

“About seven candidates. Indiana Governor Mike Pence, Cruz, Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin, Christie, Cotton, Sessions, and Flynn. Each of them have their own strengths and weaknesses but I don’t think they’ll try to undermine him and work with the party heads, especially Cruz and Fallin. McConnell, Ryan, and Priebus hate both of them and would rather die than work with them. Pence has been in Republican Leadership, Flynn is well respected in the party and your dad definitely likes him. I think he’ll go for either Fallin, Sessions, or Cruz.” She shrugged as she finished. A Trump-Cruz ticket, wouldn’t that be a sight to see? That would definitely unite the Tea Party wing of the party behind Donald and the Party Leadership would have bitterly saved face that now two people they despise the most are their President and Vice President. That could definitely spell their end.

“Dad’s thinking about John…” That surprised Conway.

“Kasich?”

“Yeah.” A nod. When Kellyanne motioned for Jr. to continue, he did. “Well, John’s Governor of Ohio, he’s moderate enough and relatively popular, and you know that dad wants to be liked by everyone.” The man’s campaign manager almost rolled her eyes. That was the one thing she didn’t like about the man, the one thing that could drag his movement to be co-opted by the very same swamp they were fighting against. “He’s been in Congress for a long time before becoming Governor and the party heads likes him a lot.”

“Then let’s go with Newt Gingrich.” Conway snipped and Jr. held his hands out defensively. Kellyanne Conway almost laughed when Trump suggested Newt in one meeting shortly after Iowa. He was the embodiment of the swamp, of Washington D. C., of the Establishment corruption Trump was claiming to fight against. Outside of wanting to be loved by everyone, everyone being the establishment, there was no real reason for him to pick Gingrich. Same could be said for Kasich.

“I’m not saying I support his thinking on this. Personally, I prefer Carson, but you know how Dad is.” Unfortunately, she does. Then, an idea suddenly popped in her head.

“Isn’t your dad a sort of soft feminist in how he sees himself?” A nod. “Ok, so that rules out Trump-Cruz or Trump-Sessions, but how about Trump-Fallin.” She handed Jr. the sheet of paper detailing Fallin’s strengths, weaknesses, and additional information after obtaining it from the folder. “Give this to him. We can try and work his mind to it. If something big happens regarding him and women, we can use Fallin as a way to avoid catastrophe.” Jr. Nodded and left Kellyanne to her thoughts. She and Jr. were incredibly cordial with one another, even if it didn’t seem like it at times. It was just his father’s personality and even worse, his incredibly liberal sister that made things difficult for them. If they could cut out Ivanka’s influence in some way, maybe, just maybe, a Trump Administration could ruin the establishment for good. Her, Coulter, and Bannon were already creating a Cabinet just in case Trump won and Rand Paul was already planned to be a part of it as chair of the Federal Reserve. She could only imagine how much the Kentuckian’s face lit up at the thought of being the chair of the Fed in 2018.

She looked back at the TV screen. Soon, Trump would give his Nevada victory speech and then it was on to win Texas and Florida and then it was done and over with and the campaign could shift gears to the general.

Freaking love how you turned the EV map into a delegate map. Great stuff!

4 Swiss Referendums are held in which the following questions are asked

1. Popular initiative of 5 November 2012 "For the couple and the family - No to the penalty of marriage", proposed by the Christian Democrats. It will prohibit discrimination in taxes for married couples (who pay more in certain circumstances) compared to other cohabiting couples, but it would also have added the definition of marriage being "the union of a man and a woman". Opposition to the initiative was mainly because it would make opening marriage to same-sex couples no longer possible under the constitution. This passed 53.91-46.09.

2. Popular initiative of 28 December 2012 "For the effective expulsion of foreign criminals", proposed by the Swiss People's Party which claimed it would provide full implementation of an initiative approved in a November 2010 referendum. Foreigners who commit a crime would be automatically expelled from the country, regardless of the severity of the crime. It passed 50.79-49.21.

3. Popular initiative of 24 March 2014 "No speculation on food", proposed by the Young Socialists. It was Rejected 51.95-48.05

4. Modification of 26 September 2014 of the federal law on road transit in the Alpine region (Reconstruction of the Gotthard road tunnel). It allowed building a second road tunnel in order for the current tunnel to be reconstructed. This government plan was challenged to a referendum by opposition groups who feared the four lanes would eventually be used, increasing traffic, and who considered it too costly. It passed 65-35.

Ted Cruz
Tuesday, March 1st, 2016.
Home of Ted Cruz.
10:27 PM EST, Houston, Texas.

[1]

The results in Texas said it all. His campaign, one built for the Tea Party and Evangelicals, one angling to be a politician despised by the establishment, one that was supposed to be the real alternative to a faker like Rubio, was done. He had lost his home state by a close margin, placing third, and the loss was to Donald Trump of all people.

That’s what stung the most. Losing not to Rubio, who he could somewhat understand (he has tried to mend the gap between both the Establishment and Tea Party after all), but to a Manhattan Billionaire who likely wasn’t even an actual conservative in the first place. All of Super Tuesday had been a disaster for both him and Carson. Sure, he had won Oklahoma by 3.02% it looked like, but he lost every other state and Rubio had only carried the state of Minnesota it seemed, but Trump had won everywhere else. Maybe if he had won Iowa, it would’ve been different. He would’ve had a lot of momentum going into New Hampshire, going into South Carolina, and using that momentum to secure Texas and the South behind him.

There were a lot of what ifs at the moment, but none of them mattered right now. He’d lost the race in Texas. What else was he supposed to do but drop out. It seemed like Carson would drop out too. That just left Rubio and Trump. The Texas Senator barely suppressed a shudder at how badly the Manhattan Businessman would maul his fellow Senator. It wouldn’t be pretty at all. Perhaps he should wait until the convention to endorse…that seemed like the best bet for his political career.

Right at that moment, he felt his cell phone ringing and when he looked at it, he saw one name he didn’t expect. Opening up his phone, he answered it with a slightly interested tone. “Hello Donald.”

Hello Ted.” The New Yorker spoke briskly and to the point. “How does a seat on the Supreme Court sound?

Both Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who lost his home state in third place to Trump, and Michigan Neurosurgeon Ben Carson suspend their Presidential Campaigns, endorsing New York Businessman Donald Trump, who is the clear and unopposed Frontrunner in a race between him and Florida Senator Marco Rubio. In his Victory Speech in Manhattan, Trump says “Give it 2 weeks, just two, and I will be the last one standing. The establishment, they hate me, but they’re starting to realize that I’ve won, that I’ve won this. Lil’ Marco, Lil’ Marco is not a threat to me and everybody knows it.

Meanwhile, pundits are surprised by how close the 2016 Democratic Primaries have become, with some comparing it to 2008 and a major question being brought up “Is Clinton going to lose to Sanders?

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2016 : New York Businessman and Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump states during an interview “The Republican Establishment is angry, you better believe they’re angry. Thursday, March 3rd, 2016 : 2012 Republican nominee Mitt Romney condemns GOP frontrunner Donald Trump in a speech at the University of Utah. Later that night, a Republican Debate is held between the two candidates that inevitably gets nasty as Donald Trump attacks Rubio for his looks and Rubio attacks Trump for the size of his hands.

Friday, March 4th, 2016 : Walt Disney Animation Studios' 55th feature film, Zootopia, is released in theaters to acclaim as the studio's most critically well-received film since 1994's The Lion King. It is, at that point, Disney's second-most commercially successful animated film behind 2013's Frozen and the second to cross the billion-dollar mark.

In the 2016 Samoan General Election, the Human Rights Protection Party won 43 Seats, Independents won 5 Seats, and the Tautua Samoan Party won 2 Seats. Tuilaʻepa Saʻilele Malielegaoi remains Prime Minister.

Marco Rubio
Tuesday, March 15th, 2016.
Marco Rubio for President Watch Party.
8:15 PM EST, Miami, Florida.

[2]

“Senator, phone call for you.” a staffer stated as he handed the Florida Senator his cell phone. Marco Rubio took the phone dejectedly. Just minutes ago, he had gotten off the stage after giving a speech announcing that he would be suspending his Presidential campaign and drop out of the race. He had just lost Florida after all. And it wasn’t a narrow loss either. Trump had destroyed him in the Sunshine state. There wasn’t any comeback after that. He was done politically, at least for the next four to eight years. Losing your home state by 35 % was a deathknell if there ever was one.

Just before the staffer had approached him, phone in hand, he had been mulling over returning to the Senate. After all, he could still file to run for a second term and this defeat, while crippling, might not totally end his political career. It could be that the people of Florida didn’t want him to go to the White House just yet. However, that would have him go back on his pledge to not run for more than one or two terms. Shaking his head of his thoughts, he took the phone from the staffer, thanking him as he did so, and looked at the number. “Trump” He raised an eyebrow in curiosity.

He expected the man to be dancing on his political corpse, not calling him before giving a speech about tonight’s events. Answering, he heard the telltale sign of the Manhattanite’s voice. “Hey, Marco.” the man greeted over the phone, his voice lacking any of its usual edge or arrogance.

“Hey, Donald.” The Senator replied awkwardly, following it up with a “What are you calling for?” This was just a very confusing moment for him. To have the man that suddenly ended your political career when you thought you were going to be the Presidential Nominee just months before call you, it stung, it really stung.

You know how Cruz, Carson, and Paul endorsed me?” He asked, getting straight to the point of the call. Rubio sighed and shook his head. He knew this would happen. It was only natural for the now presumptive nominee of the party (there wasn’t anyone who could realistically challenge him, because if they jumped in now, they would just be pushing for a Brokered Convention and that could kill the party) to seek the endorsement of the last guy he defeated.

“Listen, Trump,” He began, somewhat emotionally drained. He didn’t want to speak about this moment. He had been humbled, he didn’t want salt to be rubbed into the wound. “I think you understand we’ve had a rough night here. We just want to go to bed. Maybe I’ll endorse you tomorrow. Give me a week, ok?”

He moved to hang up but then the New Yorker stopped him. “What if I told you I offered them some positions in my administrations or appointments to get their endorsement?” That would make sense. Over the past few weeks, quite a few members of Congress had also endorsed Trump shortly after announcing they wouldn’t run for another term. He told Trump this. “Well, I know you’re mulling over returning to the Senate, but how about this : You endorse me and stay out of the Senate race, when I win, and I will win the election, bigly, mind you, I appoint you as Ambassador to Cuba and you can do whatever you please in Havana as long as it isn’t a push for regime change. That sound like a fair deal?

It was an interesting deal, to say the least. “I’ll give you my answer in a few days.” With that he hung up and went back to his home. The Senator had a lot to think about.

Following Trump’s victory in becoming the Presumptive nominee of the Party, he states “This race, it’s over, done with, finished! I’ll be campaigning for President for months while Crooked Hillary and Crazy Bernie fight each other to a Convention. These Democrats, they'll kill each other, no matter who wins. It's rigged against Bernie, the riggers hate him and won't back him, while his supporters hate Crooked Hillary and will never support her. I’ve been hearing people say Brokered Convention, Brokered Convention. They used to say that about our beautiful party, they ain’t saying that anymore, no they aren't, because the race is over no matter what the establishment wants, it’s all about the Democrats. Hillary, She can only win the South, only the South. The south is Republican central, are you kidding me? She's not going to beat me. And Bernie, I call him Crazy Bernie, because he's absolutely Crazy, nuts! Bernie is a socialist. Only the real crazies, not us, the people that swamp icon, Bomb-Bomb-Bomb Iran McCain, called the crazies, us, our movement, you guys, my wonderful supporters, the american people, only the socialists, they back Bernie, no one else does, they’re the actual crazy ones, not us, who love this country. I wonder if the Convention becomes brokered, will there be a corrupt bargain? When was the last one, eighteen and something? Another candidate gives their support to someone who wasn’t even running. Imagine if that happens. Imagine if Biden becomes the Nominee despite him saying no, or even worse, imagine someone like Pocahontas or Moonbeam is the nominee. At that point, end any primaries. The Democrats, they’ll rig it, they’ll rig it for the one they want, just like how the Republican establishment tried to do against us and it failed. It’s time to focus on the general and I guarantee you we will win it, we will win it bigly, and I’ll walk right up to Obama and say “You’re Fired” That’s a promise.

Senator Rubio would be incredibly stupid to trade an Ambassadorship for a Senate Seat. He should run for Re-Election to the Senate. He can still have a very long career there and rise in the ranks up to Leadership Positions.

If I were him I would tell Donald that I needed something better to make a Deal like Secretary of State, National Security Adviser, etc.

As for the other Stuff in the TL I'm surprised how well Sanders is doing. The Democratic Nomination is now a total Jump Ball.

If I had to guess who wins the remaining States given current Results I would make these Predictions:
Connecticut - Sanders
Rhode Island - Sanders
New York - Clinton
New Jersey - Clinton
Maryland - Clinton
Delaware - Clinton
Pennsylvania - Sanders
Kentucky - Sanders
West Virginia - Sanders
Indiana - Sanders
Wisconsin - Sanders
South Dakota - Clinton
North Dakota - Sanders
Wyoming - Sanders
Montana -Sanders
Oregon - Sanders
New Mexico - Clinton
California - Toss Up

Could very well lead to a Brokered Convention. Surprise for me was Sanders winning North Carolina & Virginia and Illinois.

Well Trump is in the very early stages of building a potential cabinet, though it won't be leaked unless he wins the election. Some candidates include Dana Rohrabacher, Andrew Bacevich, or Scott Perry for State, Youngkin, Mnuchin, or PJ for Treasury, McDonnell, Paxton, or Cuccinelli for AG, and Arpaio or Clarke for HS, so he's still building it and everything is subject to change. Now, did Rubio discuss a better position with Trump? You can decide that on your own interpretations. Would love to hear who you think is Trump's VP aside from potentially Fallin and thoughts on the deals he made with Paul, Carson, and Cruz?

Illinois OTL was 50.56 Clinton, 48.61 Sanders; North Carolina was 54.5 Clinton, 40.86 Sanders; & Virginia was 64.29 Clinton, 35.2 Sanders. The first few primaries were about building momentum, and Sanders did that pretty well with his IA, NH, and NV wins, stunting Hillary's chances a lot and the momentum and energy from the youth allowed for Sanders to barely carry VA (though NoVA did turnout for Hillary) and as Sanders' momentum piled on, he garnered more support in IL and NC to win them.

Outside of all of this, wdyt of the TL so far?

Considering that this is a right-wing fantasy TL by definition (e.g. Boris Kollar somehow winning the Slovak election) I predict Trump will win with at least 450 or so electoral votes.

The Speaker of the House was furious as he and the House Majority Leader, Californian Kevin McCarthy, spoke to one another, casually glancing at the screen that showed the results of the Wisconsin Primaries. He wasn’t pissed about the Democratic primaries, though they were interesting. Bernie Sanders was doing far better than anyone had expected, leading Hillary in the Delegate count. However, he knew the Clintons well enough. They would win the Primaries. Hillary would make sure of it.

No, he was furious at who his party had coalesced behind as the nominee. New York Businessman Donald John Trump Sr. That man had come into the race going against everything that the 2012 autopsy had reported and instead of crashing and dropping out like he should have, the moron continued to run and he eventually beat out everyone until it was only he and Marco Rubio were left. That didn’t seem like a problem. After all, Marco was young, smart, energetic, charismatic, and someone the Speaker felt had a pulse on the electorate and could be easily relatable.

But the thing was when it was just Trump and Rubio, Rubio’s entire brand had been tarnished. Trump had gotten Rubio into the mud with him and that New Hampshire debate absolutely ruined him. Had everyone else, except Cruz, Christie, Paul, and Carson, dropped out before the year turned and backed Rubio, then maybe the party would’ve had a chance to stop the orange buffoon before he became too powerful.

Now, however, he was utterly unopposed. He had crushed Rubio in Florida, forcing the Senator to drop out, and now he was only 122 Delegates away from the Nomination. Anyone that jumped into the race now was more or less just doing it for attention. He was going to get the nomination regardless of what happened. New York will go to him and all the states that would reveal their results will likely bound their delegates to Trump at this point to avoid a contested convention.

Ryan was livid and he could tell that McCarthy was too. Jury was still out on the Party Whip, Louisian Steve Scalise, though. “What are we going to do, Paul?” Kevin asked, a little red in the face as he watched the news coverage of the primaries. “All our hard work of the last five years and that waste of space is about to flush it all down the drain!” He barked, barely containing his rage.

“I know, Kev, I know.” Ryan didn’t let his anger show, unlike Kevin. The remaining Young Guns had been a bit disorganized after Cantor’s ousting in the Virginia primary, a sign of things to come if the party had actually taken notice. Paul was the professor while Kevin was the emotion of the guns and Cantor was the enforcer. Now with the enforcer gone, they had to rely on Scalise, who Kevin hated with a passion. They got rid of Boehner, which was a good thing, but those damn petulant babies in the Freedom Caucus made sure Kevin never became Speaker, so he was the one to take the position. Ryan had a feeling Kevin held it against him initially but now both men had a shared disdain for their nominee. “I’m thinking of how this can be a good thing.”

“Good? Good?!” Kevin waved a hand at the screen. “Our voters just backed a moron that will likely kill us as a party in the general to either a goddamn socialist or Hillary [expletive] Clinton! How is any of this a good thing?!” The anger was real and palpable from the Californian. “Clinton would be good for at least fundraising, but Bernie?! He might kill our party for good with the youth behind him like they are now, especially against someone like Trump instead of Rubio, or Jeb, or hell, even Cruz!” The Californian wasn’t wrong on that end. The Clintons had always been an easy target for the party but Bernie would prove much more difficult. Sure the media was against him, but that was the media. The Youth, the future of the country, was behind him more than Bill Clinton and possibly even more than Obama and that scared Ryan more than anything.

Suddenly, Paul remembered something. “Mitch said he’s going to try and internally sabotage Trump. The guy’s a moron, kiss his rear a few times and he loves you. He publicly and rhetorically backs Trump but behind closed doors and away from his ears, we go ahead with our own agenda and trick him into backing it. We cut Social Security, we cut Medicare, we repeal Obamacare, we end DACA, we pass tax cuts, we pay lip service to Trump and his base, we win, he loses, and everything is normal outside of him tweeting stuff that we can publicly defend but privately cringe at.” It wasn’t a bad plan, but it was risky. He doubted Trump was smart enough to know when he was being fooled, but some of the people around him…he might have to get rid of them. He also couldn’t let Vought or any of the Freedom Caucus, outside of maybe Jordan, get close to him or the whole thing could blow sky high.

Kevin nodded as he took in deep breaths. “Alright, I’ll do it. I don’t like it, but if he becomes President, then let's at least make sure our agenda passes and not his. But in the meantime, we sabotage his campaign as much as possible if Hillary is the nominee, agreed?” Ryan nodded. Not like he wanted to back Trump or his buddies anyway.

Suddenly, the door opened and in walked the intelligence committee chair and a fellow Californian of McCarthy, Devin Nunes. A quizzical glance was projected at him. “I forgot some papers in here on the table.” Paul looked behind him and yes, there were some papers there. Devin quickly collected his things and left. Nunes was very much a Trump guy, backed him quite a bit, but he was loyal enough to the higher ups in the party. He’d be good to continue the charade of backing the buffoon if he entered the Oval Office. As he watched the screen, he curled an upper lip. Trump or Hillary, the party would win, he and McConnell would make sure of it. It was only Bernie they were scared of.

This was supposed to be her coronation, damnit! Now it looked like it would be a repeat of eight years ago. That’s what Hillary hated the most. She had vowed after her 2008 defeat that never again would she be denied. She was able to get everyone of note behind her candidacy, Biden, Kerry, Warren, Cuomo, everyone behind her as the Republicans fought a battle amongst themselves with Trump being a pied piper candidate that she could easily beat in the general election after being handed the nomination on a silver platter.

When Sanders had first announced his candidacy, she had dismissed him, as everyone else. This was an avowed socialist of Vermont and was not well known outside of his state. She expected him to maybe be to her what Bradley was to Gore in 2000, just nominal opposition. Then Sanders won Iowa, which led to the media dubbing it the “Never Clinton state”, followed by wins in New Hampshire and Nevada. Had it not been for South Carolina, her campaign would likely have been long since deceased. But here she was, having barely won her own home state by 1 % while losing Illinois by 11 % and winning Arkansas by 10 %.

What’s even worse, Donald Trump was now unopposed in his candidacy for the Republican Nomination and was just 27 delegates from the nomination while she was losing the nomination to Sanders. This year was just getting worse and worse. Well, even if no one won the Nomination outright, she had good word from Debbie that the Superdelegates would support her at a brokered convention. She would be the Democratic nominee regardless of what Sanders thought. She worked too long and too hard for this to just let her one chance slip by her now. She will be the nominee at the Convention and then become the 45th President of the United States. That was her truth and millions of Americans knew it too.

Steve Bannon
Sunday, May 8th, 2016.
The Breitbart Embassy.
5:27 PM EST, Washington D. C..

[1]

The head of Breitbart News and one of the big three of the Anti-Establishment movement in the party before Trump, Steve Bannon watched the television screen with sheer glee on his face. Trump was currently doing a rally in Bakersfield, California in support of Kevin McCarthy’s main primary challenger and that was on the screen. Alongside the primary challenger, he was also allowing others like Devin Nunes to speak. Nunes had surprised him, everyone, with that recording that he played at that Trump rally a few days ago and that led to the magnus opus Bannon, Sessions, and Miller had been waiting for as long as Breitbart had been established.

War had been declared on the Ryans, the McCarthys, the McConnells, the Cornyns. Trump would make sure they were a dying breed in the Republican party and Bannon, Sessions, and Miller would direct him in the right message, keep him on track, and crush the establishment before it could ever be a threat to the people again. The Democrats, they were still battling it out between Hillary and Bernie and Steve loved the fighting between the two. It looked like neither would get the nomination without the support of unpledged delegates by now and even if Hillary won the nomination, it looked like the Popular Vote would go against her. That was good, extra ammo for Trump to use against her. Put a fork in this election, it was done, over with.

He had been talking with some of his contacts in the administration and they had already been creating a rough draft for the Cabinet. Potential candidates included Dana Rohrabacher or Scott Perry for state with Andrew Bacevich under him, Bob McDonnell or Adrien Vermeule for AG, Steve King for Agriculture, Lou Barletta for Labor, and Joe Arpaio for Homeland Security. Furthermore, Russell Vought for Chief of Staff and Ted Cruz to replace Scalia on the Court. The Cabinet was going to be a populist, hardline conservative, anti-establishment, unorthodox one that would bring real change to Washington and the White House if they kept true to the draft if Trump won in November. He had talked to a lot of these people in congress and after some long discussions, got them all to agree to leave their races for cabinet positions, and Rubio was his biggest coup yet. Taking someone who was trying to appeal to both his people and the establishment, like Rubio, and tried placing him in the cabinet, in a relatively unimportant post as Ambassador to Cuba, though Trump had said he had gotten Rubio to agree to National Security Advisor, at least in the first term if he won and that was with a vague promise of maybe being the UN Ambassador in a possible second Trump term should Trump win this election and re-election in 2020, to get him out of the Senate.

Then suddenly, the breaking news occurred as Trump’s rally ended and he saw something that would make most politicians pale and freeze up, but Bannon, he shrugged it off. A Hollywood Access tape from 12 years ago where Trump was talking about kissing women and grabbing them by the…well, you know. The media would overblow this, as they always have and always will when it comes to Trump. Regular Americans don't care about this. The average guy usually says stuff like this often with other guys. It’s locker room talk, nothing else.

However, he knew Trump would be concerned in one way or another, so he decided to bring in the A Game. “Hello Corey.” He said as he rang up Trump’s campaign manager. After the man answered the phone, the two began discussing a plan. He and Corey had worked to send out that fake Vice Presidents list. They already had a person decided and she had agreed to be the Nominee and a text sent to him a few minutes ago after the reveal of the tape confirmed she was still behind the idea. The announcement date was set, along with a rally place. Now, all Bannon had to do was watch and wait.

Sunday, May 8th, 2016 : Hollywood Access releases a tape that shows Republican Nominee Donald Trump speaking vulgarly about sexually assaulting women. In reaction, his polling takes a sudden nosedive and most Republicans abandon him with Speaker Ryan giving him an anti-endorsement and requesting the Delegates at the Convention throw their support behind someone like Kasich instead.

In a campaign rally in Cleveland, Ohio, Republican Nominee Donald Trump reveals his running mate to be Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin. During her speech as the running mate to Trump, Fallin says “The media, they like to say that Trump is racist, he’s sexist, he’s homophobic, islamophobic. They’ll say that yesterday’s tape showed the real Trump. Well guess what? I spoke to Trump these past few weeks. I got to know  him before this was agreed to. You will never meet and support a man who loves this country and all its people as much as Mr. Trump. The media will claim I’m damage control without even considering the possibility that I was being considered months in advance for the slot and the list sent out was to throw the media off of my trail. 32 years ago, Geraldine Ferraro was chosen by Walter Mondale, eight years ago, Sarah Palin was chosen by John McCain. Both times were failures, but the old saying is the Third time's the charm and I am more confident than ever that once we get behind Trump, we can win the White House and then win the Presidency and together me and Trump will Make America Great Again!

Media coverage for the next week is focused on Mary Fallin and by the end of the month, the Hollywood Access Tape is all but forgotten.

This was the revolution he had been speaking about when he first announced his campaign for President all those months ago. His surprise wins in Iowa and Nevada were quickly followed by him quickly catching up to Hillary and ten surpassing her lead in the Delegate Count so that, by now, going into June, he was leading in every state except New Jersey, which he had already written off as a likely Clinton win due to Atlantic City and the Establishment machine in that state. But even then, he was seen as the most likely person to get the nomination, as long as the Superdelegates remained neutral and he could convince enough of them to be on his side.

In the meantime, however, he could celebrate. He had created a movement against the Party’s darling, someone who believed the Nomination was her’s by right. He respected Hillary, he did, she had years and years and years of public service behind her and the whole email thing was, in his opinion, somewhat overblown with the people being sick and tired of hearing about it all the time. They wanted a candidate who could bring real change to Washington. Trump’s supporters, however misguided they might be, did share a lot of his ideology and what he wanted to do. That’s why he knew he was the strongest against Trump. To beat a populist, you need to run a populist, not someone mired in the politics of the Establishment.

Now the Primaries were coming to a close. Donald Trump had essentially been the nominee since the middle of march on the Republican side while he and Clinton were still in a dogfight. He did not want a brokered convention, that was the last thing he wanted when the opposition was Trump, however, he doubted Hillary would drop out if she reached the needed threshold for Delegates. His one chance to win the Nomination outright was to carry New York and force Hillary to drop out after losing her home state like Trump had forced Rubio to do. Now however, it was a scorched earth battle for the state of California.

Oh well, shoulda, woulda, coulda. Bernie Sanders was determined to win. However, he just had a feeling that Clinton was going to force something to happen. After all, the House always won. He just hoped he was wrong so that the party wouldn't be embroiled in infighting.

Alright, that's it for the TL for now. I'll come back when I have up to 01/20/2017 written up in the Google Doc. Might be a few days tho, since I'm on an Aerina binge for Genshin and plan to write somethings about it.

As for what certain people are like, I'm using certain interviews and behind the scenes reports we've had about the people involved to write these people, thus I am using the information I have to the best of my ability to help secure everything firmly.
