An end to NATO is an end of a disturbing era, at this point I don’t care where it comes from.

A person's stance on NATO is one of the most reliable litmus tests to see if they're worth listening to whatsoever, whether they're on the left or the right.

Trump does not pass the test.

It's impressive how you consistently have the worst posts on atlas.

An end to NATO is an end of a disturbing peace and prosperity era, at this point I don’t care where it comes from.

Fixed it for you.

Trump's scoffing at the collective-defense clause is deeply troubling, but I still maintain that there's nothing wrong with using leverage to ensure that NATO member-states spend more on defense; that quite literally strengthens NATO.

That's not what Donald was/will be doing, though. His goal is to use member spending as leverage to break up NATO.

Exhibit A as to why Putin waited for a hopeful Trump second term  before invading Ukraine. There were prior reports about this some months ago where Trump had apparently confided with advisors that pulling out of NATO was something he'd try in a second term.
