Or not.

Would you consider WW3 to have started if we read in the news Taiwan is being invaded tomorrow?

China aren't going to invade tomorrow though, or indeed any time soon.

Ukraine saw to that.

No, the three conflicts are unrelated.

No, the three conflicts are unrelated.

Well, WWII also started as a series of unrelated conflicts.

If you have three scenarios where different actors try to change the international status quo in a relatively coordinated way we could talk about WWIII.

I don't see it happening though. AI will change everything soon.

I would wager that China will re-establish its domain over Taiwan without any major battles.

No because a "world war" implies something that is completely anachronistic today (i.e., great powers marching armies of >1M men across continents.)  Even if the PRC invaded Taiwan tomorrow, I don't see how it would escalate to direct conflict between global powers (i.e., the US/NATO vs Russia/China.)

Yes, but the chance of them doing it tomorrow is not happening

No, WW3 already happened, it was called the Cold War, and America won that one too

What's going on now is WW4, aka the War on Terror, which has been ongoing since 9/11/2001, and AMERICA will win this one too
