Love the graphics from that period. Everything is WORDS THAT MOVE or FACES THAT ARE ALSO IMAGES.
Makes me think of the intro sequences to the BBC’s late 70s/early 80s election night specials. 1974 was pretty
drab (but it’s cute how excited they are to show you their state of the art computers). And then you hit 1979, and they throw neon, flowing computerised images of Margaret Thatcher at you, wedged between the words POLLS, RESULTS and LOSSES. All while the electronica theme tune to a recent King Arthur movie blares in the background. (24 mins in)
It’s just silly but self-serious enough to elevate it.
