Newt Gingrich vs. Rudy Giuliani

These two have a lot in common...

-Both prominent GOP politicians of the 90s
-Both won Democratic bastions (The House of Representatives and NYC)
-Both had messy personal lives
-Both had unsuccessful presidential bids
-Both became Trump apologists and didn't get anything for it

I mean Giuliani probably would've been more popular just about any time except right now and the only reason he'd be less popular now is because his obsequiousness towards Trump is just THAT much worse than Gingrich's.

Gingrich is more of an intellectual type and I have some respect for that, he even has done some alternate history writing. He had a lot more potential with his career than most politicians. I do think it's good he failed though because his views are awful and the legacy he has left is toxic.

Both are evil but Newt, as a history buff and nature lover, is someone who I could at least get along with if I had to spend a day with him. Rudy has lost it.

Rudy at least has the movies down, probably good culinary taste, and genuinely did a lot of decent things once when it mattered.

Newt is Schrute, but charisma, and pretty much broke politics.
