What do you think of this character that only appears in generation 1?

Not a Pokemon, and people who keep bringing it up are just filthy genwunners that hate everything else about the franchise.

Freedom Pokemon big time.  Glitches like these made the game feel so much richer and honestly probably got a few kids interested in computer programming by making them think about the inner workings of the game.  It created so much more content and lore of the secret / backrooms / playground rumor variety.

Between this and Mew being coded in the game but completely unobtainable, Pokemon really was just begging for people to rip it down to the studs and talk about it to death.  Which of course we are still doing 25 years after its release.

Exactly. Al Qaeda and the blue cotton-ball pokemon Jumpluff from Gold and Silver don't really belong in the same conversation.
