I think that if I were sacrosanct and had a bag of rocks to chuck at whatever displeased me I could make a lot of changes around here. For some reason I feel like this would be unpopular at large though.

In all seriousness I think that there are a few. One that's a little more niche is that I think county sheriffs shouldn't be elected. As far as I'm aware the only reason that this happens in (nearly) every state in the country is because that's the way it was done in colonial times, and the only reason why county sheriff is even a public office is because that's the way it was done in England in the 13th Century.

1.cocaine should be available in gas stations (if dummies can get high quality cocaine for a reasonable price, they will stop doing gross drugs like meth)
2.all tariffs should end (punish everyone to protect a tiny fraction of us is too stupid for words)
3.the vast majority of subsidies should end (if it costs $1400 to fly the average American from Denver to Boston, then that's what it costs.  Using tax dollars to keep flying at prices that allow middle class people to fly a couple of times a year is stupid and wasteful.  If you claim to care about the environment but support this, you're an asshole.)
4.I'm not sure if ending the Jones Act counts because very few people are for it once they understand what it does, unfortunately, most people don't care enough to actually learn about it and just brush the surface and then shut their brain down.  "it protects good union 'murican jobs?  That's all I need to know!"

We need a large-scale reintroduction campaign for large carnivores across the United States. The suburbs need a new kind of jaguar.

My most unpopular opinion is probably that most American politicians are actually decent-ish, extremely talented people who believe that they're trying to do some good for the country, even if the vast majority of politicians are also somewhat concerned about their own finances and ambitions. I think that so many of the problems in this country are indirectly caused by a political cynicism that is partially fueled by the mistaken belief that governing a country of 300+ million is easy, and that the primary problem is a lack of common sense rather than genuine disagreements among different groups.

On a related note, I think legislative term limits are a bad idea. They decrease the power and knowledge of legislators both in an absolute sense, but also as compared to other groups (particularly lobbyists). They also lead to more ideologically extreme legislators who have less ability and willingness to agree to the compromises across party lines that keep our government running (particularly under divided government).

I have a few related to the electoral process and what people are voting for:

1. The House of Representatives should be doubled in size.
2. All state legislatures should be full-time and paid like it.
3. Way too many positions are publicly elected at the state and local levels.

I didn't say it was a bad idea, I said it was unconstitutional.

Makers of women's open-toe footwear should receive tax breaks.
Production of Family Guy episodes should be fully subsidized by the government.

The amount of 24 hour bars would need to triple in order to accommodate this. I'm not complaining.

The Clintons are to the left of Biden when it comes to marijuana, alcohol, and sex.

Here's some:
1. Abortion is immoral
2. Parents should have the final say on whether their child decides to transition
3. Most of what Hollywood supports is garbage
4. Workplace/direct democracy should be implemented
5. Punishment shouldn't be the primary purpose of imprisonment/should pay people a living wage for their labors. They should also have the right to vote
6. Companies that use slave labor should be sanctioned
7. Campaign vouchers should be implemented to suppress corporate power
8. States should have as close to an equal population as possible, same goes with congressional districts done based off the US census.
9. State and local governments should be more powerful than the states.
10. Drugs should be legalized
11. I'm opposed to big government and big business although both should be used in moderation in order to reduce their overall power.
12. Most government subsidies should end

I see no reason why excess wealth of the very richest shouldn't be taken to pay for and provide for the nation's general welfare.

Yes its theft, but much of it was generated by those that will never ever have half as much money as the top 1% does.  So yes I do believe in wealth distribution.

I believe in taxing and spending.

Good old fashioned liberal ideas, where the Government helps people and provides a positive impact on their lives.

Private values such as compassion and empathy should become public policy (in the budget).
