I think the bigger issue was Perot dropping out and jumping back in.

I think Perot would've gotten about 25% of the national vote, won several states (I think about 7 of them, many small ones, a few middle sized omes and 1 big one) and swing the election to the House! 🤠

I don't know if a stronger Perot performance would force the House to decide the winner (something that reportedly influenced his decision to drop out) had Stockdale done better in the Vice-Presidential debate; but I could see Perot carrying a few smaller states (since he finished 2nd in Maine and Utah while finishing with over 25% of the vote in Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Kansas, Nevada and Alaska).

You may be right about that, but it is not the question on the table at this time.
About the same as he actually did.  Stockdale was actually a refreshing character whom people believed could be an OK President as much as anyone else. 

Was Stockdale less able to be President than Dan Quayle or Al Gore?  Think about that from the perspective of 1992.
