Now that Houston has been revealed as the location of the 2028 Republican National Convention, that begs the question: Where should/will the 2028 Democratic National Convention be held?

(only included major cities in battleground states, or states expected to be contested)

I put Detroit for now, though maybe Charlotte is a good contender.

Detroit would fit the themes Biden emphasizes a lot.

They should do something random like Indianapolis or San Diego.

San Francisco hasn't had it in nearly 38 years, and the weather there isn't bad at all in the summer. Also the bay area sends so many Dems to congress, and has heavy hitters like Pelosi who live there.

Wasn't the last time, the RNC? Best way to appear out of touch with swing voters is going to a D+60 county for your national convention, something swing votey should be of the priority! Maybe Atlanta or Philadelphia?

Since there's a sicko part of me that'd like to go to the DNC someday, Charlotte would be nice.

There's basically zero correlation between convention location and electoral performance, so ideally just a walkable city with good public transportation that isn't too hot in the summer, and ideally not a RTW state either.

Out of the cities listed, Pittsburgh, obviously. It would be a good way for the Dems to show that we're still the party of the working class. Atlanta would be the second best choice.
