While the Imperial Federation is more in line with the material Sanchez already has, I would prefer to keep things simple (for now, anyway) and just have American and Canadian politicians and parties.

I lean towards the Commonwealth of America version. I have more material prepared for it than I do the other one, which might be a bit too complex.
