You could make up any numbers you want because MBTI is a psuedoscience.

The main correlation between personality psychology and politics is that those higher in "openness" trend more liberal while those lower in the trait trend more conservative. This "openness" trait is itself heavily correlated to the "intuitive" trait in MBTI, while "sensing" is equivalent to those lower in the trait.

Make of that what you will.

I would take that with a HUGE grain of salt because personality testing, as a whole, is a pseudoscience.

This is not true as a general statement. The Big Five test has been well-vetted scientifically and follows the principles of the scientific method. The MBTI, not so much, but its strong correlations to four of the domains of the Big Five makes it less ridiculous than many assume it to be reflexively. It's definitely no astrology, at least. Its main flaw is assuming there are 16 discrete "types" rather than a spectrum of traits, but they actually nailed down four of the five scientifically established "Big Five" personality traits surprisingly well, especially given the knowledge they had back then. The only problem is if you test as "51% N, 49% S" for example, it's rather arbitrary which "type" you subsequently get placed in. Whereas the actual Big Five test does not assign personality "types" but merely places you on a spectrum of traits weighted against the general population, so most people score somewhere in between the extremes of each trait rather than stand out as a particular "type."

Is the Big Five what employers use then?

There have been a few studies of varying qualities attempting to draw correlations between Myers-Briggs and political views. There are a fair number of null results, but the overall pattern seems to be:

E's tend to be more Republican, I's tend to be more Democratic.
S's lean Republican, N's are more strongly Democratic.
T's are somewhat Republican, F's are quite Democratic.
J's are strongly Republican, P's lean Democratic.

The strongest correlates with third party preferences are Intuition and Perceiving.

How did scientific studies using MBTI get accepted into any journals when MBTI is not scientific?

I do think, however, there is a correlation between those who believe in MBTI and voting. I think people who believe in MBTI (regardless of whatever "type" they might score as on any pseudoscientific MBTI test) are more likely vote Republican than those who do not for two reasons:

- MBTI is supposed to be "innate". People who believe in MBTI are more likely to be essentialists when it comes to personality, which probably lends itself towards a conservative outlook on life.

- A lot of statistics regarding MBTI state that men are more likely to be "thinkers" and that women are more likely to be "feelers", which obviously lends itself towards an essentialist outlook on gender (i.e. that men are more logical than women), which probably heavily skews MBTI believers towards the conservative end of the spectrum. Most feminists are gender constructivists, and even feminists who are gender essentialists would not support the notion that men are more logical than women; there are probably very few feminists who believe in MBTI, which likely further skews MBTI towards the more conservative end of the spectrum.

There have been studies on Big Five personality traits as they pertain to election habits, with Republicans being more conscientious and less open to new experience than Democrats, with the other three categories (agreeableness, neurosis, introversion) having no strong lean one way or the other.
