This idea of him running for AG but only if they gerrymander him out of Congress reminds me of the old Obi-Wan Kenobi quote: "If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine."

This is the smart move for Jackson.  Going statewide keys him up for governor in 2028/32.

I think his real ambition is to run for Senate, but being AG would definitely put him in a good place to run against Budd in 2028.

This is probably the least surprising move of the entire cycle, but as long as it gives him a path to a higher office (Governor, Senate, President even) I'm all for it

I'm going to miss the Congressional updates he posts on Reddit though. Hopefully he still does as AG and posts regular updates about suing Republicans.
